About Makke Ki Tikki Recipe:
Makki ki Tikki is made from corn kernels, Makki da aata is one of the most preferred delicious of the Indian household, especially in winters.
Corn (maize) is gluten-free, Makki ki Tikki recipe is considered as safe cereal for patients. Usually, it is made for breakfast, but can be made for evening snacks also . For kids it is very beneficial for their health as well as tastes yummy to them. Makki, it also helps to reduce weight. So lets make Makki ki Tikki (cornflour patty) step-by-step.
Ingredients Of Makke Ki Tikki Recipe:
Main Ingredients:
- 1 cup of cornflour (makki atta)
- 2 medium onions, (chopped)
- 2 to 3 green chillies, (chopped)
- One handful coriander, (chopped)
- Pinch of Asafoetida powder (hing)
- Pinch of baking soda
- Salt as per taste
- 1 to 2 tbsp ghee (for shallow fry)
How To Make Makke Ki Tikki Recipe Directions/Method:
Preparation for Tikki
- Pour a bowl full of Makki ka aata (maize flour) in a container.
- Add finely chopped onions, green chilies, coriander, asafoetida (hing), and baking soda.
- Add salt as per requirement.
- Add 1 glass of water in a container and mix all the ingredients, add more water if needed.
- Make a liquid batter, as easy to pour in idly maker.
Making of Tikki
- Add a small glass of water in idly maker, bring it to boil.
- Grease small container of idly with ghee.
- Pour the whole better in idly maker and lid it.
- Leave it for 15 mins, and let them cook.
- Insert a toothpick in idly to know that it is a cook or not.
- Take off all the Tikki from idly maker and let them cool.
- Take a pan, add 1 or 2 tbsp ghee heat it.
- Shallow fry each Makki ki Tikki and cook until it becomes light brown. (fry it with the help of wooden spoon).
- Your Makki ki Tikki recipe is ready. Now it is ready to eat. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Enjoy it with schezwan chutney or coriander chutney.
