LEMONGRASS is high in Vitamin A (beta-carotene) and has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. it is also a good cleanser that helps to detoxify the liver, pancreas, kidney, bladder and the digestive tract. It cuts down uric acid, cholesterol, excess fats and other toxins in the body while stimulating digestion, blood circulation, and lactation; it also alleviates indigestion and gastroenteritis. Furthermore, recent research from 2006 has shown that lemon grass causes apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells, while leaving normal cells unharmed.

Ingredients:


Ingredients For 1 Cup (250 Ml):

  • 250 ml water
  • 1-2 lemon grass leaves
  • 1 inch grated ginger
  • 1 clove
  • ½ inch cinnamon (or 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon powder)
  • aniseed ¼ teaspoon
  • 4-5 leaves of basil
  • brown sugar or honey

Directions/Method:


1. Add all ingredients in water and boil everything for 10 -15 minutes.

2. In addition you can also add cold milk if you want.

3. Now your lemon grass tea recipe  is ready. Enjoy the taste of refreshing tea.
