Masala baati is a popular Rajasthani snack recipe that is stuffed with aloo and masala baati served as rajasthani authentic thali or as an evening snack. so lets make rajasthani masala baati recipe step by step.

Ingredients Of Masala Baati Recipe:


Main Ingredients:

  • For Dough :
  • 300 gm flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 50 gm ghee

For Masala:

  • 500 gm boiled potato
  • pinch of asafoetida
  • 3-4 green chilli (chopped)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp mango powder
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp black pepper

How To Make Masala Baati Recipe Directions/Method:


Dough For Baati

  1. Take wheat flour in a bowl, add baking powder and ghee in it.
  2. Mix it and knead it well by using water.
  3. Keep it aside for a while.

 

Masala For Baati

  1. Take ghee or oil in a pan and heat it.
  2. Add asafoetida, chopped green chilies and grated ginger in it.
  3. Now add boiled and mashed potatoes.
  4. Add all spices (salt, black pepper, turmeric, red chilli powder, mango powder, and coriander seeds) mix it well.
  5. Now add chopped green coriander in it.
  6. Your masala for baati is ready.

 

Now Make Masala Baati

  1. Take a small ball from the dough and roll it between palms, mold it into a cup.
  2. Take a spoon of masala and place it in the dough, close the open ends and roll it.
  3. Now heat ghee in kadai on high flame.
  4. When the ghee heats put the balls in it and deep fry it on low flame so that it cooked from inside also.
  5. Now your masala baati recipe is ready.
