Fish pakoda is a mouth-watering and very tempting fried fish recipe made using fresh fish pieces. Usually fish fried in several ways and every way of fried fish is delicious and quite appetizing.
This is the best masala fish pakoda recipe where we need to marinate the coated fish pieces and then shallow fry them until they turn soft and crisp. Today we are using tela fish for our fish pakoda recipe. Lets start the recipe step-by-step.

Ingredients Of Fish Pakora Recipe (fish Fry):


Main Ingredients:

  • 1.2 kg rohu/monkfish tail/tela fish
  • 12 tbsp Besan
  • 4 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 tsp Amchoor powder
  • 2 tsp Carom seeds
  • 2 tsp Ginger paste
  • 2 tsp Garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Refined vegetable oil for deep frying

How To Make Fish Pakora Recipe (fish Fry) Directions/Method:


  1. Firstly rub rock salt on fish and wash it with water, it is a really important step as it removes all access water and bacteria from fish and makes it healthy for eating.
  2. Now cut fish into 2 inch pieces and keep aside.
  3. Take a bowl add all ingredients (besan, garam masala, amchoor powder, carom seeds, ginger-garlic paste, salt) and mix together.
  4. Add enough water to form a thick batter, marinate the fish with batter for about 4-5 hours.
  5. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
  6. Add marinated fish and deep fry on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Flip and fry again to 2-3 minutes.
  8. Your fish pakora recipe is ready, serve hot with green chutney.
