About Dahi Vada Recipe:
Dahi Vada is a popular snack in India. It is prepared by soaking vadas (fried flour balls) in dahi (yogurt).
Soak washed urad lentil overnight and grind it into a batter for the vada. From this batter we make vadas with deep frying. The hot deep fried vadas are first put in water and then transferred to thick beaten yogurt.
Dahi Vada is also known as dahi bhalla in Punjabi, thayir vadai in Tamil, thairu vada in Malayalam, perugu vada in Telugu, mosaru vade in Kannada, dahi bara in Odia and doi bora in Bengali.

Main Ingredients:
- A bowl moong lentil (Dhuli)
- A bowl urad dal (Dhuli)
- One bowl gram dal
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 spoon fennel
- 1/2 kg curd fresh
- 15-20 raisins
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped raw coconut
- One inch finely chopped ginger
- One small spoon roasted cumin
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- A teaspoon salt
- 1/2 tsp black salt
- 2 tbsp tamarind sweet chutney
- Pinch of asafoetida
- Oil to fry
How To Make Dahi Vada Recipe Directions/Method:
- firstly Soak dal or lentils for 6-7 hours.
- After that add ginger, a little salt, and a pinch of asafetida in the soaked dal and make a fine paste of it.
- Now take a pan, heat the oil in the pan.
- Meanwhile, add coconut and rice in lentils or dal and stir well, add a spoon of oil and make 3-4 pakodas once in a pan and fry them till brown.
- Now put water and salt in a large vessel, add asafoetida and put fried pakodas in it, keep it soak for 1/2 hours,
- Now press soaked pakodas with palm and remove excess water now put pakoras in a plate, add fresh curd on it and add tamarind chutney, red chili powder, black pepper, roasted cumin, black salt over it and serve it.
- Your Dahi vada recipe is ready.
