About Shahi Tukda (Shahi Toast) Recipe:
Shahi is a Persian word meaning Royal and tukda or tukra is a hindi & urdu term meaning a piece. This shahi tukda is made specially for childrens as it is one of the favorite dishes of children. You can make it and keep it for several days. Children eat it as royal toast with great passion. It is pleasant to see and look very good in food.
Shahi tukda is a rich & festive dessert made with bread, ghee, sugar, milk and nuts. It is a very popular classic royal dessert and is said to have originated during the Mughal reign.
Traditionally shahi tukda is made by deep frying bread pieces in ghee until golden and crisp. Then they are dipped in sugar syrup.
Ingredients Of Shahi Tukda (Shahi Toast) Recipe:
8-10 Bread Slice
- 500 gm - sugar
- A glass of water
- Pinch full - Saffron
- A Silver - Burke
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- To fry ghee
How To Make Shahi Tukda (Shahi Toast) Recipe Directions/Method:
1. First, cut the edges around the bread and cut off the triangle. Similarly keep all the breads ready.
2. Then make sugar syrup and keep aside. For this, add sugar and a glass of water in a vessel to make syrup till it boils. When it starts boiling well then you have a teaspoon lemon juice Put the syrup cleaned and let it boil until it becomes syrup.
3. Once the syrup is formed, take off one side and put saffron in it.
4. Now add enough ghee to fry it in a pan. Slow the flame when the ghee is heated. Now you can fry the slices of bread until golden brown in ghee and add it in the syrup.
5. When all the bread is prepared, remove the extra syrup from them. Now take it in a serving dish, decorate all the royal toast with silver work.
6. Your Shahi Tukda Recipe is ready.
