Honey Chilli Potato Recipe

Honey Chilli Potato recipe is a popular Indo-Chinese starter recipe or appetizer. This Honey Chilli potatoes is a great starter dish to serve for parties, It is a combination of sweet and spice that is ideal for kids as well as adults to enjoy it. So lets make honey chilli potato recipe step by step.

Ingredients:


Main Ingredients:

  • 250 gm potatos
  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 2-3 tbsp maida
  • salt to taste
  • oil for fry

For Sauce:

  • 1 inch ginger (chopped)
  • 10-12 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 4-5 green chilli (slit cut )
  • 1 tbsp green chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp seasame seeds
  • spring onions

Directions/Method:


 

For Potato Slices

  1. Take potatoes wash and peel it then cut into slices.

  2. Keep potato slices in water for half an hour.
  3. After half an hour drain the water from potato and wipe it with cloth.
  4. Now keep them in bowl and add corn flour, salt and all purpose flour in it and mix it well.
  5. Take oil in kadai heat it, now half fry them in oil for about 2-3 minutes take them out.
  6. Again fry them in hot oil for more crispiness for about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Your crispy potato slices is ready.

 

For Sauce

  1. Take a tbsp. oil in pan add garlic and ginger saute it for while.
  2. Now add green chilli and spring onions in it again saute it for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now add sauces (tomato ketchup, soy sauce, red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce) in it and vinegar saute it well.
  4. Add fried potatoes slices in sauce, stir it on low flame.
  5. Now add honey and seasame seeds mix it well.
  6. Your honey chilli potato is ready. Sprinkle some spring oinons on it for garnishing.
