About Moong Dal Chilla Recipe:


Moong Dal Chilla is one of our favourite vegetarian Indian recipes. It is so simple to make and yet so delicious. With the addition of potato or paneer stuffing, it turns into a fulfilling breakfast meal.
Moong dal is good for your heart, helps control acidity and can be enjoyed by diabetics. The fibre in yellow moong dal prevents the deposition of bad cholesterol in the arteries, thereby improving heart health.
It is an Indian pancake. It is also packed with nutrients like zinc, iron and protein which helps to maintain the elasticity of your skin and keep it moist. It is ideally perfect for breakfast time.

Ingredients Of Moong Dal Chilla Recipe:


Ingredients:

  • 100gm Yellow lentils/ Moong dal (soaked overnight)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 2-3 Green chilli (chopped)
  • 1 Ginger
  • 1tsp Cumin
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • Salt acc. to taste
  • 1tsp Red chilli powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder

How To Make Moong Dal Chilla Recipe Directions/Method:


Making of Moong Dal Chilla Batter:

  1. Take a bowl add moong dal.
  2. Now add all ingredients except onions (cumin, asafoetida, green chilli, ginger and salt).
  3. Then grind all ingredients with moong dal in a jar with help of water.
  4. Now take a bowl, add fine paste of moong dal in it.
  5. Add chopped onion, black pepper and red chilli powder in it, mix it well.
  6. Your moong dal Chilla batter is ready.

 

Making of Paneer Stuffing:

  1. 100gm paneer (mashed)
  2. 1tsp Black pepper (powder)
  3. 1tsp Chat masala
  4. Salt acc. to taste

 

Making of Chila:

  1. Take a pan heat it, add oil in it.
  2. Now take moong dal batter and pour it on pan.
  3. Then spread it slowly on low flame.
  4. Let it be cook from one side until it turn golden brown.
  5. Now flip the Chilla and cook it from another side.
  6. Then flip it and add paneer stuffing to it.
  7. Now fold it from both sides.
  8. Your moong dal Chilla is ready, serve it with green chutney or sauce.
