About Hara Bhara Kebab Recipe:


A healthy and tasty Indian vegetarian snack made from spinach, Hara Bhara Kebab is a delicious, vegetarian kebab. Today we are using gram lentils and ground spinach in it. You can also add more wedges to it, but make sure you keep it green, as this kebab is its name. Serve them with mint and coriander chutney or ketchup. So lets make hara bhara kabab recipe step-by-step.

Ingredients Of Hara Bhara Kebab Recipe:


Main Ingredients:

  • 100 gm Gram lentils or Chana dal (soaked overnight)
  • 50 gm Spinach (boiled and ground)
  • 2 green cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 mace (javitri)
  • 30 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala
  • 2 to 4 cloves
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 3 to 4 green chilies (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp green coriander (chopped)
  • Salt (according to taste)
  • Oil for fry

How To Make Hara Bhara Kebab Recipe Directions/Method:


  1. First of all, remove the water from the soaked gram lentils.
  2. Now roast all the spices (green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and mace) in a pan.
  3. Then add gram lentils (Chana dal) with spices to the same pan, add some water to it and cook it a little for 3 to 4 minutes on medium flame.
  4. Now turn off the gas, and add salt to gram lentils and grind it to make a thick paste. (Take care of the water while grinding it into thick paste)
  5. Then add (powdered spinach (boiled), ginger garlic paste, onions, green chilies, coriander leaves and Garam masala) to that paste and mix well.
  6. Now divide the mixture into lemon sized balls, then flatten each balls (kebab).
  7. Now heat the oil in a pan and put the balls (kebabs) on medium heat till they turn golden brown from both the sides.
  8. Your hara bhara kabab recipe is ready. Serve it hot with curd raita (कचूरमर) or mint chutney.
