Flat Samosa Recipe

About Flat Samosa Recipe:


A samosa is a fried, baked dish with a savoury filling, such as spiced potatoes, peas. It may take different forms, including triangular, cone, or half-moon shapes, depending on the region. So lets make flat samosa recipe step-by-step.

Ingredients Of Flat Samosa Recipe:


Main Ingredients:

  • For dough:
  • 100 gm Maida
  • 1 tbsp Carom seeds
  • Salt to taste

For Masala:

  • Boiled potatoes (2-3 medium size)
  • Green chilies (2-3 chopped)
  • Ginger (1 grated)
  • Turmeric powder (1tsp)
  • Coriander powder (1tsp)
  • Amchoor powder (1tsp)
  • Garam masala (1tsp)
  • Asafoetida (a pinch of)
  • Salt (1tsp)
  • Cumin seeds (1tsp)
  • Kasuri methi (1tsp)

How To Make Flat Samosa Recipe Directions/Method:


 For Dough Making :

  1. Take a bowl to add maida, carom seeds and salt in it. Add little oil mix it and combine together.
  2. Now with the help of water knead a tight dough.
  3. Cover it with a wet cloth and keep it for at least 20-25 minutes.

 

For Samosa Filling:

  1. Take a pan to add oil heat it now add asafoetida, cumin seeds, ginger, green chilies and saute it.
  2. Now add boiled and mashed potatoes in it, mix it.
  3. Add all spices (turmeric powder, coriander powder, amchoor powder, salt, kasuri methi, garam masala) in it.
  4. Mix it well and your masala is ready.

 

For flat samosa:

  1. Now cut dough into 2 parts and roll into a thin chapati.
  2. Spread samosa filling on the chapati.
  3. Tightly roll into chapati into a cylindrical shape.
  4. Now cut it into 1 cm disk.
  5. Lightly press and flatten the disk.
  6. Take a bowl to add maida (20gm),  salt and water mix it, make a thin slurry.
  7. Take a Kadai to add oil and heat it.
  8. Now dip and coat the samosa with flour slurry and fry it on medium flame until light brown color.
  9. Your Flat Samosa is ready.
