About Instant Khaman Dhokla Recipe:


Dhokla is a vegetarian food item that originates from the Indian state of Gujarat. It is made with a fermented batter derived from rice and gram flour. Dhokla can be eaten in breakfast, as a main course, as a side dish, or as a snack.
It is soft and fluffy, mildly tangy-sweet and a great snack any time of the day. This is also an instant khaman dhokla recipe. These savory cakes are really light and fluffy. Khaman dhokla Goes Well with some mint chutney or coriander chutney.

Ingredients Of Instant Khaman Dhokla Recipe:


For Dhokla:

  • One bowl semolina (suji)
  • Two bowl gram flour
  • Two bowl buttermilk
  • One inch piece of ginger
  • 5-7 green chillies
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • One spoon oil
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • Salt according to taste

For Tempering -

  • One spoon mustard oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • Curry leaves
  • Half cup Grated coconut

How To Make Instant Khaman Dhokla Recipe Directions/Method:


1- Take a bowl mix buttermilk, semolina, gram flour, a spoonful of sugar, salt according to taste. Add ginger, green chillies, curry leaves, grind them and mix them. And keep it for an hour.

2- After one hour, add one lemon juice, baking soda, oil in a batter and mix these three things well in it.  Grease the plate with oil and put the batter in it,

3- Put the steamer (steam cooker) on the gas stove.

4- Now put the plate in steamer for 10-15 minutes. After that check it with knife is it cooked or not, take it out for cool down cut dhoklas into the pieces. And put them in a plate.

5- Heat the oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds and curry leaves in it, when the mustard seeds is cracked, add asafoetida and sugar in it and add a little water, after boiled turn off the gas. Pour that tadka water over dhoklas and eat it with Green Chili Sauce or Tomato Sauce.
