About Malpua Sweet Dish Recipe:
Malpua is sweet pancake popular in Uttar pradesh. Rajasthan, Bihar, West Bengal and Orissa. Malpua can be made in a number of ways is something that can get you excited for it. For example, in South Indian cuisine, lots of coconut is added to the batter as it’s found in abundance. While the North Indian like to prepare their malpuas with lots of khoya or mawa. It is enjoyed as it is, however, if you want a better taste you can pair it up with rabdi as well. Lets make malpua recipe step by step.
Ingredients Of Malpua Sweet Dish Recipe:
Ingredients Of Malpua:
- 100 gm Khoya
- 70gm Maida
- 70gm Semolina (Suji)
- Saffron as required
- 1tsp Green cardamom powder
- Ghee for fry
Sugar Syrup Ingredients:
- 250ml water
- 1/2kg sugar
- 1tsp green cardamom powder
- 5-6 saffron
How To Make Malpua Sweet Dish Recipe Directions/Method:
Making batter for Malpua:
- Take a bowl and add maida, semolina (suji) and khoya in it.
- Now mix it well.
- Add water and make a batter of it, batter not be too thick.
- If you prefer soft malpua, whisk the batter for few minutes.
- Keep the batter aside until sugar syrup is ready.
Making sugar syrup:
- Take a pan, add water in it.
- Now add sugar in it.
- Dissolve the sugar on medium heat.
- Boil the sugar syrup until it turns sticky or reaches a 1 string consistency.
- To prevent crystallisation in sugar syrup we add 1 tbsp lemon juice to the syrup.
- Now add saffron and green cardamom powder in it.
- Your sugar syrup is ready.
How to make Malpua:
- Take a pan, add ghee in it for fry malpua.
- When the ghee is hot pour 3-4 tbsp. of batter in it.
- The batter spreads depending on the consistency.
- Make thin malpua.
- Allow them to fry until golden brown.
- Flip and fry on the other side.
- When it turn golden brown from both sides, remove them from the pan, and add directly to the sugar syrup.
- Let it be in sugar syrup for at least 10 minutes.
- Now take out the malpua's from sugar syrup.
- Your malpua is ready.
- You can garnish it with chopped pistachios or you can add rubdi on top of it also.
