Tandoori Chicken Recipe In Microwave

About Recipe:


Tandoori chicken is marinated in yogurt and masala which is cooked in a tandoor, a cylindrical clay oven. It is a popular dish originating from the Indian subcontinent, particularly from Peshawar, Pakistan. The tandoor oven originates from the northwest frontier. It is popular in Pakistan, India, and has become increasingly popular in other parts of the world.

Tandoori chicken originated at the Moti Mahal restaurant. Kundan Lal Gujral, a Punjabi, is credited with invention of the dish. Gujral founded the restaurant in the Peshawar area of Pakistan. It was in this restaurant that Gujral invented Tandoori chicken, along with other dishes like Butter Chicken.

Ingredients:


For Marination-

  • 1 kg - Chicken cut into medium size
  • 4 tbsp. tandoori chicken masala
  • 1 tbsp. red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp. coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 100 gms - Amul Butter
  • 1 tbsp.- lemon juice
  • 100 gms - hung curd
  • Salt - according to taste
  • 1/2 tsp.- roasted cumin

For Raita -

  • 500 gms of curd fresh
  • 50 grams green chillies
  • One cup green mint leaves
  • Half Cup - Green Coriander Leaves
  • According to Taste - Salt
  • Pinch of asafoetida and cumin
  • To decorate - some green coriander leaves

Directions/Method:


Tandoori Chicken Method -

1. Wash and keep the medium pieces of chicken in a vessel.

2. Now mix chicken masala, hung curd, salt, red chili, turmeric, coriander, roasted cumin, lemon juice and mix it well in pieces of chicken.

3. Now put the marinated chicken in the fridge for 2 hours. 

4. By the time pre-heat the oven for five minutes. Now put the pieces of marinated chicken in the tray of oven and cook it for 180 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

5. Add butter to the chicken in 15 minutes interval . In this way your tandoori chicken will become juicy and Your Tandoori chicken recipe in microwave is ready.

 

Method of Raita -

First, mix the green chilies, green peppermint leaves, green coriander leaves, and black salt in a mixer jar and mix it in curd and with sprinkle roasted cumin over it .Your raita Is ready.
