About Chane Ka Saag Recipe:
Chana Saag is made with the green leaves of Chana. When the chana plant has grown up, before the onset of the flower the leaves are cut from the top. These leaves are used to make Chana Bhaji and this procedure is also necessary to benefit the plant so that it flourishes well. You can eat Chana Saag with makka roti or wheat flour roti or bajra flour roti in winters. So lets chana saag step-by-step.
Ingredients Of Chane Ka Saag Recipe:
Main Ingredients :
- 250 gm chana leaves
- 50 gm wheat or bajra flour
- 3-4 nos green chilli
- 50 gm garlic
- 1 tsp asafoetida
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- salt according to taste
- 1 serving spoon ghee
How To Make Chane Ka Saag Recipe Directions/Method:
- Wash the leaves and separate the stems from them. Take out the soft leaves from the bunch to make the recipe. Clean and wash the leaves twice with fresh water then strain it. Now chop the leaves.
- Now make green chilli and garlic paste.
- Take handi and add 1/2 litre water in it bring it to boil now add chopped chana leaves in it.
- Cook and Stir it on medium flame. Add wheat flour in it and mix it well.
- Now add (asafoetida and garlic and chilli paste) in it stir it.
- If the mixture becomes thick add more water to it.
- Now add salt to taste.
- Stir it continuously once it start to boil.
- Cook it on low flame for about 45 minutes.
- It should be nicely mixed. Your chana saag is ready.
For Tadka:
- Take a pan heat it and add ghee in it.
- Add asafoetida and cumin seeds in it.
- Now mix it in saag for good taste.
- Your chana saag is ready. Serve it hot with makki roti or bajra roti.
