Stuffed Capsicum is an Indian dish which is eaten like a side dish. Capsicum stuffing is mainly made with capsicum and gram flour. You can also use it as a party dish. stuffed capsicum can be used spicy filling of basen, potatoes, paneer and vegetables, or you can also use a colour capsicum as a delicious and healthy recipe. today in this video we going to make basen bharwa shimla mirch or stuffed capsicum with basen (gram flour).

Ingredients:


Ingredients List:

  • 5-8 Capsicum Medium Size
  • 200 gms - gram flour
  • 1 onion - chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Celery
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp mango powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup oil

Directions/Method:


1. First wash the capsicum with clean water. Now you can remove the stalk between them and empty them from inside.

2. Now take gram flour in a vessel and add red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric, green coriander, pinch of asafoetida, mango powder,  and Celery. Now stir the gram flour with water, mix the gram flour in a bowl like a mixture of pakoda. Keep it aside

3. Heat the pan over the gas and add 2 tbsp of oil. 

4. In the oil, add the onion, pinch of cumin and roast them.

5. Now roast the onion in the oil till the golden brown, then add basen mixture paste into it and roast it, roast until gram flour gets fried.

6. When the gram flour is thoroughly rinsed, fill it in Capsicum and keep it aside.

7. After filling all the Capsicum, heat the oil in pan again. 

8. Now cook the capsicum till it becomes little golden. Sprinkle some salt on the go.

9. Your besan stuffed capsicum is ready, serve it with chapati or whole bread or paratha.
