Bharwa Bhindi | Stuffed Bhindi Recipe

About Recipe:


This is one of the green vegetables found in the summer. We can make Bhindi recipes in several ways, such as: Bhindi Kofta, Bhindi Kadhi, Kashmiri Bhindi, Flaming Bhindi, Paneers Shahi Bhindi, Bhindi Bhujia, Bhindi Bhurta, Shahi Rasider Bhindi, Paniree Bhindi etc. We are here to tell the recipe of Bhindi.
Okra or okro, known in many English-speaking countries as ladies fingers, ochro or gumbo, is a flowering plant in the mallow family. It is valued for its edible green seed pods.

Ingredients:


250 Gm Small Ladyfinger (Bhindi)

  • 4 Onions
  • Garlic 8-10 Buds
  • Ginger 1/2 inch
  • Besan 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Pinch of Cinnamon powder
  • A Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1 Tomato
  • A small bowl Yogurt
  • 200 gm Oil or Ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • According to the taste - Garam Masala
  • Pinch of mustard seeds
  • Green Coriander

Directions/Method:


1. First wash the lady finger thoroughly with clean water. Cut it from middle and keep it aside.

2. Now make a puree of (onions, garlic, ginger) as well as grind tomatoes also.

3. Sprinkle some gram flour and salt on lady finger. Then heat the oil or ghee in a pan on a high flame, Now fry all the lady finger having gram flour on it and keep it aside.

4. Now add cumin and asafoetida and mustard seeds in the remaining oil. Chop add chopped onions and fry it till it becomes golden brown. Take curd in small bowl add red chili, turmeric, coriander, salt in it. saute it with fried onions. After frying well, add Tomato paste as well and saute it well till oil come over from it.

5. Now mix the fried lady finger in it. Add lemon juice from top. Mix the spices and lady finger well and keep them covered for five minutes.

6. After five minutes, your stuffed lady finger is ready. Garnish it with green coriander from the top eat it with the chappati.
