About Chickpeas Soup:
These one-pot-wonders are filled with wholesome ingredients and amazing flavors. They are very easy to prepare and will make a satisfying lunch or dinner any time of the year.
Ingredients Of Chickpeas Soup:
Ingredients:
- ¼ kg Chickpeas
- 1 liter water
- 1 tablespoon ghee/olive oil
- 1/3 tablespoon turmeric
- 3 tomatoes
- fresh grated coconut
- basic spicy mix [see note]
- salt and brown sugar for taste
- fresh coriander
Ingredients For Basic Spicy Mix:
- cumin seeds
- turmeric powder
- mustard seeds
How To Make Chickpeas Soup Directions/Method:
1. Place water and chickpea beans in a large pot in a ratio of 4 parts water and 1 part beans and add some turmeric powder and oil.
2. Bring to a boil or cook in a pressure cooker.
3. Simmer for as long as it takes for beans to soften.
4. Add salt only after beans are soft.
5. Pour off the water into another pot (save the water to put back in).
6. Mash the beans in a blender or food processor.
7. Pour the water back in.
8. Prepare the basic spice mix in oil with tomatoes.
9. Stir it all together with salt and brown sugar to taste.
10.Your Chickpeas Soup Recipe is ready, Garnish with fresh coriander.
