About Semolina Appam Recipe (Suji Appam):
Semolina Appam is made by semolina (suji), this recipe comes from Kerela or south region of India. Rice appam is a very delicate and delicious recipe and can be eaten as a snack in the evening with tea. it is a recipe of Kerela, an easy to make and they remain soft after cool down. Rava appam(suji) is healthy and can be made plain or with vegetables, today we are making plain appam with vegetables and green Rava/suji/semolina appam with the help of green coriander chutney. Lets make semolina appam recipe step-by-step.
Ingredients Of Semolina Appam Recipe (Suji Appam):
Main Ingredients:
- For Common Batter:
- 200gm Curd
- 200gm Semolina (suji)
- ¼ tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Salt
For Green Appam:
- 1 cup Coriander Leaves
- 3-4 green chilies
- 1 tsp Cumin
- ½ tsp Salt
For White Appam:
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 1 Tomato (chopped)
- 2 Green Chillies (chopped)
- Green Coriander
How To Make Semolina Appam Recipe (Suji Appam) Directions/Method:
For Combine Batter:
- Take a bowl to add Semolina/Rava (suji), Curd and Baking soda in it, mix it well by using water in it to make a thick paste of batter.
- Now divide it into two parts and keep it aside for about 10-15 minutes.
For Green Appam:
- First to make the green puree, Take a mixer to add Coriander leaves, Green chillies, Cumin, Salt in it and make a fine paste of it.
- Add our Green puree in one part of the batter and mix it well, our Green Appam batter is ready.
Now make appam:
- Now put the Appam mould over a gas flame and grease it with oil.
- Pour both the batters into the mould.
- Add chopped Onions, Tomato and green chillies over white appam and finally cover it with lid for about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the lid, grease it again at the top and flip it again for 3-4 minutes.
- Your both White and Green Semolina Appam Recipe are ready.
